This Saturday morning
we had a guest lecture at MDI from two renowned personalities, namely, Dr.
Prasad Kaipa (renowned mentor, coach, author focusing on innovation and
leadership) and Navi Radjou (independent thought
leader and strategy advisor based in Silicon Valley). I had to say
Navi could connect more to the class.
Seventy minutes long (but interactive) session on "From Smart
to Wise" reminded me of the soft skills trainings being organized at
Maruti (e.g. use of real life stories, what successful organization did
differently than others, how wrong strategy adopted by giants lead to
their demise, significance of each letter in words like W.I.S.D.O.M, so on and
so forth).
Back in our dormitory, we were informally discussing on the impact
such lectures can have in our lives.
Will 70 minutes of inspiring session bring change to our entire
thought process?
Can we unlearn what all we have experienced in last 25 years?
Is this the time to wake up and relearn?
As always we did not reach to any conclusion.
But, the bigger question is:
Are we ready to accept CHANGE?
I was infact trying to make sense out of non-sense, hence random.
ReplyDeletenice blog...and very well written
ReplyDeleteMy thought about this issue is that its ubiquitous truth that people will resist change. we can not inculcate everything in our decisions or day to day life but sometimes when we face some inevitable or critical situation where we had to take decision then we had a reminiscence of the visionary thought like Dr. Prasad Kaipa and Navi Radjou.
wow !after 4 years a new post !
ReplyDeletemost of us adapt to external change (or so i think)
But we really don't change our nature, merely behavior. If we realize that we need to remove some of our internal flaws, its a hard thing to accept.
I think Bro this matters in life, same kind of innovation and guest lecturer used to give in my company also how the perticular company used that model and how we can use that model in a better way. Overall its gud i think we need to rethink :P
